Anybody Seen It?

Dusting of Snow

I’ve been off for two days and not seen the sun. Anybody seen it? Even with a light snow falling and temperatures hovering around freezing, I braved the elements and tramped in the snow at Blendon Woods Park. I decided to put on the 105mm macro and focus in on the dusting of snow on plants. It was actually quite refreshing, something my mind and body needed. However, after about 45 minutes my fingers began to get cold. Since I can’t work too long in the cold, I surf the net to enjoy images of ice like these by Mark Graf. Please check out his gallery of ice patterns. Anyway, back to my original question, anyone seen the sun?

  1. showed up here this afternoon just in time to go down, however there are rumors about “widely scattered light in the morning”. (The nod goes to George Carlins weatherman).
Like the macro work Monte, I may have to chase down one of those, been lusting after the 105mm for portrait work as well.

    • Well, I’m glad someone has seen the sun within the last few days. As for the macro lens, I like it. I’ve had it for 5 years and probably don’t use it as much as I could. I also like how macro work leads me to see the world with a different perspective, up close and personal.

  2. Yesterday it was a very sunny day here in the Adirondack foothills but today it is snowing. And since I have posted since Saturday I should drag my butt out and get some shots.
